Governor’s Aboriginal Employment Industry Cluster
Recently, the Premier threw his support behind the ‘new look’ Governor’s Aboriginal Employment Industry Cluster program. The Governor’s Aboriginal Employment Industry Cluster Program is an employer led initiative established to facilitate increased employment of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people in South Australia with an emphasis on skills development.
Following negotiation with the Department of Innovation and Skills it was agreed the Cluster Program would benefit from being attached to the Office of the Industry Advocate due to the strong connections with businesses and industry.
There has already been a strong response with 60 businesses who have indicated an interest of being involved and the target is to 100 businesses signed-up in the first quarter of this year.

- Energy, Infrastructure, Water & Resource
- Information Communication Technology (ICT)
- Manufacturing & Distribution
- Medical & Healthcare Services
- Professional & Technical Services
- Tourism & Hospitality
