The South Australian Industry Participation Policy (SAIPP) applies to all suppliers, contractors and supplier activity.  Suppliers are responsible for meeting all SAIPP requirements when responding to procurement opportunities and for adhering to all SAIPP requirements throughout any subsequent activities leading to and including contract management.

The Industry Participation Plan (IP Plan) is a key component of the SAIPP for government procurement. It measures the economic benefits a supplier commits to delivering to the state for a specific South Australian government contract. The IP Plan promotes giving capable South Australian businesses a full, fair, and reasonable opportunity to participate in government contracts, aiming to maximize the state’s economic benefits. IP Plans assess socio-economic objectives such as workforce participation, capital investment in the state, regional investment, and overall economic impact, enabling the government to compare tenders effectively.

If an IP Plan is a required component of your tender submission, please use the template located in the resources section below.  For support with the plan, contact the Industry Advocate at 8429 2700 or oia@sa.gov.au. For technical issues with the platform, email support@procurement.sa.gov.au.
