Meet the Buyer is South Australia’s leading business-to-government and industry networking event, connecting local businesses with procurement decision-makers from South Australian government, major projects and industry.

Delivered by the Office of the Industry Advocate in partnership with the Government of South Australia, Meet the Buyer provides South Australian businesses with valuable opportunities to build relationships, explore supply chain opportunities and gain insight into procurement pathways.

The event brings together a diverse range of exhibiting organisations, including state government departments, public authorities, industry associations, Aboriginal peak bodies and support services, major infrastructure projects, and private sector organisations. This creates a unique opportunity for businesses to connect directly with buyers, decision-makers and industry representatives in a single location.

The scale and impact of Meet the Buyer continues to grow. Meet the Buyer 2026, held on 19 August, attracted 2,050 registrations and 1,516 suppliers and buyers on the day, making it the largest event in its history. A total of 83 exhibiting organisations participated, providing attendees with access to a broad range of procurement, supply chain and business opportunities.

With a strong focus on SA backing SA, Meet the Buyer supports increased local participation in procurement and strengthens connections between South Australian businesses and organisations seeking local suppliers. Through networking, knowledge sharing and business engagement, the event contributes to business growth, stronger supply chains and positive economic outcomes across South Australia.

Tailored workshops were held as part of this year’s Meet the Buyer program to help attendees build their understanding of the State Government procurement process and improve their networking skills.
