Similarly to a quote, you should always make sure you leave ample review time for a tender response to ensure that you have compiled all required documentation, answered the specification and included all mandatory requirements for a successful submission.

Before submitting your tender response, check off the following points;

Have you reviewed your response against the specification?
Ensure you double-check your responses against the specifications to highlight if anything has been missed.

Have you proofread your response?
Ensure you proofread your response, and undertake a full spelling and grammar check.

Is your response document formatted consistently?
Check for consistencies in style, layout and formatting (including headings and fonts).

Have someone else review the response?
Ideally have more than one other person review the tender response, including someone who has not been involved in the preparation.

Has all your documents and relevant information been named or titled correctly?
Ensure all graphics, attachments and references are all titled correctly.

Have you double-checked financials?
Make sure all financials are correct and all totals add up.

Have you completed and included an Industry Participation Plan correctly (if requested)?
Ensure all relevant and required fields are correct and completed in full.

Quick Tip

Sometimes it’s helpful to print your response and review it in hard copy to triple-check for any errors or inconsistencies.
